Early Brandy of Changyu

In the 1930s, Shanghai Xinmin News gave “Rainy Season in May” as the right roll and offered a reward of 500 silver dollar to the public to collect the left roll. Many men of letters composed with pleasure but failed. At last, one master, who had ever tasted Changyu Fine Brandy, stood out and composed with “Brandy of Three Stars” (Brandy of Three Stars is the name of one early brandy product of Changyu Company). Despite of the totally unrelated meaning, the neat antithesis was amazing.
