Headcount of Changyu’s Enologist Group Reaching 181

Last month, Decanter published a report entitledReturn of the New Generation of Chinese Enologists Studying from Europe, saying that five young enologists from major Chinese winemaking companies completed the two-month practice in European chateaus recently, which marks the beginning of the two-year cooperative program between China and the EU in the field of wine. It is reported that in this cooperative program, namely EU-China Wine Cooperation jointly developed by CEEV and CADA, among the five young Chinese enologists who completed their practice in European chateaus and returned to China, two came from Changyu Company.

It is learned that the headcount of Changyu’s enologist group has reached 181, including the chief enologist, wine species enologists and key control point enologists and covering such types as wine, brandy, icewine, sparkling wine, vermouth and healthcare wine. In various chateaus of Changyu located in Yantai,Beijing,Liaoning,Ningxia,Shaanxi and Xinjiang, there are not only winemaking talents cultivated by domestic higher institutions but also winemaking talents engaged from overseas countries mainly from France,Italy,Austria and Canada.
