Located within Miyun County, suburb of Beijing, Beijing Chateau Changyu Afip Global covers an area of 1500 Mu, with exclusive vineyard of 3000 Mu. The Chateau was built with capital and technologies from many countries like China, United States, Italy, Portugal, etc., and International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV) provided full-scale technical support.

Chateau Changyu Afip is located in Miyun Area of Beijing, where features the continental climate of being cool or cold. There are natural advantages for wine making which is comparable to left bank of Bordeaux: The soil texture is loose with good gas permeability, and the soil is mixed with gravel, which is rich in calcium carbonate.

The honorary president of the Chateau is Robert Tinlot, who holds the post of honorary president of International Vine and Wine Organization (OIV), and honorary president of Université du Vin. He has run O.I.V. for up to 11 years. With his vision of globalization and experience on wine making for many years, Mr. Robert has given guidance in person on multiple links such as the construction of the wine, grape planting, picking, fermentation and oak barrel storage.

There are only 266 grape vines on one Mu of land, where root systems of grape vines are as deep as over 5 meters, and only one bottle of good wine is made from one grape vine. All the above are the quantization on grape planting made by Lapalu, a French grower, in order to improve raw materials from grapes. and the standard is even superior to French AOC legal standards.

Gohadi, Chief winemaker of the Chateau, is the ninth generation of winemakers of Changyu. Inheriting over a hundred years of brewing spirit of Changyu, and integrating with his French wine making experience for over 20 years, he has improved ten important processes in winemaking of Afip, and boosted the quality of wine to perfect level.

Since 2009, wines from Chateau Changyu Afip have been served on state banquet for more than 30 times, as wines for banquets for leaders of great nations who have visited China. When leaders are tasting wines, they also appreciate the essence of "Made in China and made with the world"
