Liaoning Huanren producing area is located beside Huanlong Lake in Huanren County, Liaoning Province, with the elevation of 380 meters. It belongs to the Changbai Mountain ranges, with continental semi-humid monsoon climate, and four distinctive seasons. The annual average temperature is 6.3℃, the average annual sunshine is 2370 hours, annual average rainfall is 870 millimeters, and frost-free period is 140 days. The vineyard locates in mountainous region beside Huanlong Lake in Huanren County, with an average elevation of 380 meters. It belongs to Liaodong Changbai Mountains range and the northeast foothills of Qianshan Mountain range, and it is the special wine producing area in China.

Same as Canada, Huanren locates at northern latitude 41 degrees, the hometown of ice wine in the world, and has similar climatic conditions. It belongs to the continental monsoon climate zone which is temperate humid and sub-humid. It is cold and wet, with four distinctive seasons.

The condition of winter average temperature is below -10 ℃, which can meet the need of freezing of ice grape, and the temperature will drop to -8 ℃ even under -20 ℃ during the grape harvest, so as to ensure that the ice wine produced each year.The soil is mainly chernozem and dark meadow soil, which is relatively fertile.

Enclosed by near mountains and rivers, the vineyards are exposed to the sun with slight slopes, thus form a microclimate where it is cold but not dry, which is very good for the growth of ice grapes. Due to regulating effect of Hunalong Lake, its annual average humidity is 67.1%, which ensures the fruits do not shrink during delay harvesting and maintains the fresh state. With abundant sunshine and low temperature in the winter, the surface of grape berries will form noble rot, and wine brewing from them will have unique taste and flavor. The main cultivated variety is Vidal, which has the characteristics of appropriate output, strong disease resistance and high sugar content, and it is one of the most famous main varieties for ice wines making in the world.The ice wine brewed here has rich compound aroma of apricot, pineapple, honey and tropical fruit, with sweet taste and acid and bright flavor.
