Weibei rainfed highland areas

Changyu grape base is located in Shaanxi Guanzhong hinterland and the downstream of Wei River, with elevations between 600 ~ 700 meters above sea level. It belongs to Hanyuan producing area, Weibei, Shaanxi, and is a burgeoning high quality wine producing area in China.

It belongs to warm temperate zone semi-arid continental monsoon climate, with distinctive four seasons and dry and wet weather, plenty of sunlight, and large temperature difference between day and night. The annual rainfall (about 400 mm) is appropriate, and the annual frost-free period is long. All above mentioned meet the demand of the growth of high quality wine grapes. The Soil types are loessial soil, yellow brown soil and brown soil. The soil layer is deep. The plough layer is loose with strong fertilizer maintenance ability. The soil is rich in mineral nutrition element, beneficial to the growth of grape root system.

The main grape varieties in the vineyards are: Cabernet sauvignon, Cabernet gernischt, Ugni Blanc, etc. They are mainly distributed in Jingyang, Xianyang and other areas. The red wine brewed here mainly has blackcurrant aromas, with odors of spices, smoke, mushroom, resin at the same time, with mellow and coordinated body.
